Epic Revenue Cycle Analyst for ICD-10

Job Description:

As part of the Stanford Hospital and Clinics IT team, the Rev Cycle Epic Analyst will be primarily focused on the ICD-10 project. They will be responsible for analyzing requirements, building POC, testing, documenting test results across Epic Hospital and Professional Billing Applications. This role will be responsible for system incident resolution, maintenance requests, enhancements requests, and related ICD-10 project builds. The Analyst will review application configurations, interfaces, and end user workflows to execute recommended system changes.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with cross functional team members to plan, design, build, test, and support system changes related to ICD-10
  • Develop and execute integration test scripts; document and communicate test status; identify and document defects; defect resolution; root cause
  • As required coordinate with Business users to get sign off on design, test results, defect resolution
  • Update and maintain workflow documentation
  • Support "Dual Coding" changes e.g. creation of new Work queues, updates to work queue rules
  • Coordinate application issue resolution with application vendors

Job Qualifications:

Minumum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in computer science, information systems, or healthcare administration
  • Education: Certified in Epic Resolute - Professional Billing or Hospital Billing (certified in both-ideal, should be certified in one with experience in the other module)
  • Experience: 5+ years supporting and/or implementing Epic Professional Billing or Hospital Billing

Prefereed Qualifications:

  • Education: Certification in other Epic modules
  • Experience: Epic application upgrade process
  • Experience: Management of Epic patient statement and/or insurance claim files processing
  • Experience: Expertise in using Epic's data courier tool for code migration
