Vice President Professional & Support Services

About This Position:

The Vice President Professional and Support Services (PSS) is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative direction to assigned hospital departments and guidance in the achievement of hospital goals. This position involves collaboration with vice presidents responsible for other areas of hospital operations. The VP-PSS assists and advises the President and CEO in establishing strategic business plans to achieve objectives established by the Board of Directors and in formulating and implementing hospital policies and procedures in professional and support service departments.


Five to ten years progressively responsible administrative experience in major healthcare institutions, preferably in an acute care setting. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in hospital administration or related field of study.Specialized Training: Comprehensive knowledge of general healthcare administration. Thorough knowledge of business administration and general management techniques. General knowledge of areas of responsibility. Working knowledge of personnel administration. Excellent management skills and high ethical standards relating to healthcare. Excellent oral and written communication skills and well-developed analytic skills are required.
